My Benny's latest paintings

I think it is about time to share some of the AWE-some talent that my Benny possesses! He Finished the painting of the 3 Friars about a month ago and it is now in the Spring Salon at the Springville Museum of Art. The more contemporary Indian woman is one of my faves, we took her picture at a Pow wow down in New Mexico a while back. She is waiting to be shown at the Blue Rain Gallery in Santa Fe in July. The Painting he is working on now, is of course my new favorite and I think the best work he has done so far, if it is possible to get any better! I will post it when it is finished. I miss painting sometimes myself, but seeing Ben create these beautiful paintings, seems enough for me at the moment. One of these days I will paint again, and he can be my teacher! Ben took Bella over to his studio yesterday to try out oil painting. She came home looking like a very abstract piece of work herself! but she says when she grows up that she wants to be a painter just like her Daddy, so we'll see!

As my dad would say, "Wowee Zowee!" I love these paintings. I have to tell you what Nate just said. "It's not fair. Whenever Granny and Grandad had a birthday or something, Ben could always just draw them a present." I love it.

yes- what a talent- and what's even cooler is that he is appreciated in his own lifetime- and will only grow more famous from here on out- very cool.
